A VINDICATION OF METASUICIDE

Which was featured in the Madrid Book Fair 2014.  Not only did the book spark the overwhelming interest of readers but was a resounding success in terms of sales.

Forebodingly, this book was published shortly before the Charlie Hebdo, Copenhagen, Mosul and Germanwings incidents.

A book like no other: daring, controversial, provocative, irreverent and deliberately offensive, No group, organisation or movement is immune from its attacks. You will either love it or hate it.

"While many will simply delight in the book's vitriolic humour, scholars may find meaning in its underlying philosophical message."

It touches on the theme of Suicide, the quintessential taboo and faces censure by nearly all of today´s media:  the greatest pandemic of the twenty-first century is silent or better said silenced.

However, despite its title, this book is by no means a vindication of "common" suicide, which the author actually considers a "fake" suicide. Instead, Von Gerö has formulated a deeply philosophical approach, coining the term "metasuicide", defined within the first few pages.

A VINDICATION OF METASUICIDE

ISBN: 978-84-16198-08-5      (856 pages)

His unclassifiable philosophical essay “A Vindication of Metasuicide” has been inaccessible to the general public for many years; in spite of its unimpeachable exactitude and its philosophical value, the unprecedented originality of its doctrine and its predictable commercial success, no publisher has dared to publish it in full to date.

Taboos such as the vindication of suicide, the glorification of suicides and comparing procreation with murder; his devastating criticism of human existence; his detailed refutation of pro-life arguments; his cruel intellectual analysis of philosophical and epistemological responses; his brutal assailment on religion; his denigration of the family, traditions, patriotism, nationalism and the myths surrounding literature, art, culture and counter-culture; his vilification of spectator sports; his excoriation of compulsory education; his furious onslaught against and contempt for power and the powerful; his diatribes against politicians, judges, soldiers, journalists, historians, psychologists, writers; his unmasking of ecologists as the running dogs of stepmother nature; his invectives against sects, visionaries, mafias, masons and NGOs; his metaphysical anti-system thesis against all and against the All, against the natural order; his misogynistic, heterophobic, extremely politically and morally incorrect  transgression of all ethical and aesthetic values; his exaltation of homo supremacy; his questioning of the absurd perpetuation of the human species; and his descriptions of humanity as alienated, possessed by the instinct of preservation, reproduction and perpetuation … all in a provocative, caustic, vitriolic, irreverent, blasphemous, offensive, insolent and biting style, have made this magnum treatise the ultimate paradigm of the  “damned book”.

In this, his latest publication, the author offers an illustrated and tempered-down version of the homonymous essay. He has omitted erudite philosophical reflections or any which may be abstruse to the uninitiated. The texts are fragments from the original work, made more rousing and satirical, suited to a wider readership.

Nevertheless, the many allusions, references and encrypted symbols contained within the text and illustrations will be readily recognizable to the advanced reader. For the most part these answers to philosophers, theologians, anthropologists, psychologists etc. are either a criticism or refutation of their theories / doctrines. Not one sentence, adjective, name or number is gratuitous.  Each and every one contains an encoded message for the erudite reader. The text in its entirety is original.  Nothing has been quoted.
